How Verification Works
The Verified Badge is a sign that a provider has gone through our verification process. Providers are verified on an annual basis. It is not a rating, recommendation, or guarantee.
What we check
For therapy professionals, verification includes checking identity and professional licensure. For wellness professionals, it includes checking identity and relevant credentials where applicable. When a professional offers both, the checks reflect both types of services.
You can find the last verified date in the provider’s profile and by opening their badge.
Keeping information current
A provider may lose the badge when verification expires, required information becomes inaccurate, a license is no longer valid, or a review identifies other concerns. Reports from users may prompt a review.
We may also remove a badge if a provider misuses the platform or violates our Terms.
Profiles without a badge
A profile without a badge may be unclaimed or may belong to a provider whose verification is not current. An unclaimed profile has an option to claim it. Providers retain ownership of their profile when verification expires.
The absence of a badge does not necessarily mean that a provider is unqualified or their listing is inaccurate.
What the badge does not tell you
Verification does not guarantee availability, quality of care, suitability, outcomes or future accuracy. Mindwell does not employ, supervise or endorse a provider by displaying their listing or badge.
Confirm qualifications, services, fees, coverage and availability directly with the provider. Use Report this listing on a profile if you notice a problem.
